Studland

Across the water from Sandbanks and the Harbour entrance lies the National Trust Nature Reserve, the gateway to the Purbeck countryside and the Jurassic Coast.

Departure is by the Sandbanks chain link ferry, which leaves every 20 minutes and takes approximately 8 minutes. On arrival the glorious Shell Bay sandy beach welcomes you. This is owned by the National Trust and stretches some three miles to the idyllic seaside village of Studland.

Studland is home to three of the finest beaches in the UK, Knoll, Middle and South beach. South beach is situated within its own sandy bay with the famous Old Harry Rocks as the backdrop.

This most sought after village boasts a championship golf course affording amazing views over Poole Harbour, the famous Banks Arms pub, a church, village shop, Knoll House hotel complex and the soon to be opened ‘Pig on the Beach’ by the award winning restaurant group.

Rising from the edge of the village are the Purbeck Hills, attracting some of the best Cliffside walks imaginable.
